#DartmouthNorthPositive. Kassinda Tolliver became an advocate through a personal crisis. A few years ago, Kassinda was brutally assaulted by her partner. In a courageous decision and with the support of her family, friends and employer, Kassinda went very public with the assault on social media. That empowering decision has lifted Kassinda ever since and she is now a board member for Bryony House, the shelter which assisted her and her children during that time. Since then, Kassinda has held a yearly fundraiser for Bryony House at her home in Crichton Park. As a former Board Chair of Bryony House, I was so pleased to announce plans and complete funding for a new shelter. KAssinda was at that announcement and together we celebrated the possibilities for women leaving domestic violence. She truly is inspiring.
